Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to provide advocacy, support, crisis intervention, referrals, safety planning, and lethality assessments to survivors of domestic violence who are attempting to secure injunctions for protection. Responsibilities
Provide advocacy, support, crisis intervention, referrals, safety planning, and lethality assessments to survivors of domestic violence seeking injunctions for protection. Qualifications
Education: Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or related field is required. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer. Experience: Minimum of two years in counseling or social work, preferably in a domestic violence program or criminal justice field. Knowledge of case management skills; ability to provide effective and immediate crisis intervention; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; basic to intermediate computer skills. Must attend a 3-day training to become CORE certified prior to working with survivors. Employment details
