Assistant Building Engineer - Flower Mound - Multifamily
Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
LOCATION: Flower Mound (Near Sunset Point at Lakeside DFW)
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | On call 24/7

About The Role Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Engineer is responsible for delivering and maintaining all facilities of a residential high‑rise building, preserving the life of all common area equipment and complying with all governmental mandates.
What You’ll Do
Engineering management of a residential facility, including common areas, amenity space, and parking garage.
Provide quarterly cost analysis and projections for utilities, chilled water, electrical, gas, and maintenance items.
Conduct quarterly efficiency analysis and energy‑savings audits.
Create, execute, and maintain an automated preventative maintenance program for all building components.
Implement and maintain required maintenance SOPs.
Maintain any “green energy” certifications of the building.
Coordinate, maintain, and keep current all building component inspections.
Supervise full maintenance team and develop training for excellence in job performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with outside vendors.
Coordinate contracted services and repairs alongside the GM.
Keep complete and accurate records of all maintenance requests.
Be available for on‑call after hours, weekends, holidays, and emergencies as needed.
Ensure all safety precautions and procedures are followed while performing assigned duties.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is essential.
HVAC certification is required; additional certifications are highly valued.
What You Need To Succeed
At least 3 years of engineering experience in multifamily or residential high‑rise projects.
Specific knowledge of high‑rise electrical, plumbing, stair pressurization, elevators, and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of safety systems, elevator systems, fire pump and safety system, trash room/compactor, and building management software.
Understanding that condo construction is ongoing and managing partial occupancy issues.
