Job Title : Trademark Paralegal
Location : Rocky Hill, CT
Hours/Schedule : M-F, 8-5

Overview
The Trademark Paralegal supports attorneys in managing, protecting, and enforcing a global trademark portfolio spanning consumer and industrial brands. This role is responsible for trademark prosecution, enforcement, clearance, and docket management, while collaborating with internal teams and outside counsel to safeguard brand assets worldwide. Responsibilities
Maintain and update global trademark database and records Prepare and file trademark applications, renewals, assignments, and recordals with USPTO and foreign counsel Coordinate and support global clearance projects, including searches and reporting results Monitor watch notices and online alerts for potential infringement Draft cease-and-desist letters, coordinate takedowns, and support opposition/cancellation proceedings with outside counsel Assist with domain name monitoring and enforcement Serve as point of contact for business teams regarding trademark usage, clearance, and brand protection Prepare reports and portfolio updates for business leaders and IP stakeholders Manage global docket of trademark deadlines, ensuring timely filings and communication of key dates Coordinate with outside counsel on filings, disputes, and budgetary matters Review invoices, manage accruals, and support budget planning for trademark spend Maintain organized electronic files in compliance with internal guidelines Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate Experience in trademark portfolio management, preferably with a global company or law firm handling large, international portfolios Knowledge of USPTO practice and international systems (Madrid Protocol, WIPO) Experience with IP docketing and portfolio management software Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize global deadlines and high-volume work Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP or other enterprise systems a plus Strong proficiency with trademark docketing systems and database management Solid understanding of brand protection and domain name enforcement processes Benefits
