What we offer:

Contractual position for events held at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex.

Position Overview The Sporting Clays Technician 1 will assist the manager on day-to-day operation duties; perform routine maintenance on electronics and trap machines; test and regulate batteries on machines and electronics; assist the manager in preparation of shooting events (setting course, loading machines); must responsibly operate UTV and other small equipment (forklift, sporting clays machines, etc.); must be able to work independently; clean up debris on courses; secure and maintain a safe shooting line-of-fire.

Responsibilities

Ensure machines are loaded and operate properly

Secure and maintain a safe shooting line-of-fire

Ensure trash is picked up regularly

Prepare for events

Keep batteries ready to place on course

Minimum Qualifications Requires education, knowledge, and mental development equivalent to an 8th grade education.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefers previous experience at World Shooting & Recreation Complex

Prefers ability to operate simple equipment such as sporting clays machine, forklift, UTV, etc.

Employment Conditions All applicants must be able to meet the following Conditions of Employment, with or without reasonable accommodation, to be considered for this position:

Must be a minimum of 17 years old

Possession of a valid Driver's License

Requires ability to lift, carry, transport loads up to 25 pounds

Required physical condition and ability to perform position responsibilities

Requires the ability to work most weekends, with an occasional evening or holiday

Have ability to alter work schedule to meet the needs of the WSRC including some long shifts up to 9-10 hours

Ability to pass background check

Requires ability to legally be around firearms
