Job Title : Sanitation Technician Department : Quality Assurance Facility : Bottling Plant Reports to : Quality Assurance Manager / Quality Assurance Supervisor Status : None- Exempt Date posted : July 17, 2024 Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Follows and applies all team safety rules, processes and procedures implemented by the company Has the ability to function under pressure and in all conditions Performs required inspections of plant, equipment, and parts for cleanliness Embraces and champions Food Safety Standards and constantly enforces them Performs testing of chemicals used in sanitation, as needed Observes strict sanitation specifications and procedures Reacts to results of swabs from environment and product surfaces to identify corrective actions Maintains sanitation inventory by identifying items that are running low and requests materials Effectively interacts with other plant departments to address areas of potential food safety or quality issues Works with Quality Manager on the development of cleaning procedures, Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), and test methodology Responsible for managing the chemical cage and sanitation supplies Assures that sanitation activities are completed on time and accordingly with Master Sanitation Schedule Completes daily sanitation reports and communicates significant events to management Responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement for the company and department Performs basic housekeeping to maintain clean floors, walls, ceilings, air vents, lights, etc., of the plant, equipment, and exterior of all equipment Accomplishes pre-operations check on all product contact surfaces including pumps, valves, agitators, alcoves and clamps before start up Follows Good Manufacturing Practices Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe work area Follows all required work safe practices, including wearing required PPE, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc. Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area; reports any food safety and quality issues to management immediately Performs other duties as assigned General Competencies

Employees must be able to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear. Regularly required to handle, install, position, or move materials / equipment. May need to lift / move up to 50 lbs. Work Environment

Environment includes multiple temperature ranges (34°F - 100°F). Noise levels can be moderate to high. Work may occur near hot pipes (100°F) and involve handling cleaning chemicals (caustics and acids). Senior / Employment Information
