Mitigation Manager

to lead their mitigation operations. This role oversees field teams and daily operations to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in line with industry standards. The Mitigation Manager will serve as the operational bridge between field crews, clients, and insurance partners—delivering exceptional service and ensuring every project sets the stage for successful restoration and rebuild phases. Salary Salary: Pay range starting at $75k Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership Oversee day-to-day mitigation operations, including water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke mitigation. Assign and monitor jobs to ensure timely response and completion within established budgets and timelines. Ensure crews follow IICRC and OSHA standards and company safety protocols. Team Development & Supervision Lead, mentor, and train mitigation technicians and first responders to build a high-performing team. Conduct regular performance evaluations and recommend training or process improvements. Support scheduling and workforce planning to optimize coverage for emergency calls. Project Management Perform on-site inspections to assess damage, scope work, and create mitigation plans. Monitor job progress, quality, and safety compliance through completion. Maintain accurate and timely job documentation, including moisture readings, photos, and daily logs. Client & Insurance Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and insurance adjusters during the mitigation phase. Provide clear updates, explain processes, and address concerns to ensure customer satisfaction. Build strong relationships with insurance carriers and referral partners to support ongoing business growth. Equipment & Resource Management Manage inventory, equipment, and vehicle usage to ensure readiness for emergency calls. Track job costs, labor, and materials to meet profitability targets. Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency. Qualifications

Education & Certifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD) required; additional certifications (AMRT, FSRT, OCT) preferred. Experience

5+ years

in restoration or mitigation services with at least

2 year of leadership experience . Proven expertise in water, mold, and fire mitigation processes, equipment, and industry standards. Familiarity with insurance claim processes and documentation requirements. Skills & Attributes

Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and professional during high-stress emergency situations. Proficiency with industry software such as DASH, Encircle, or similar platforms. Physical & Schedule Requirements

Ability to lift up to

50 lbs.

and work in a variety of environments, including crawlspaces, attics, and outdoor conditions. Willingness to respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
