Job Summary We are seeking a motivated
Mitigation Technician
to join our team. This role is responsible for responding to emergency property damage situations, including water, fire, and mold mitigation. You will learn to assess damages, execute mitigation procedures, and ensure the highest level of service for our customers.
Responsibilities
Respond promptly to emergency water, fire, and mold damage calls.
Perform water extraction, structural drying, and dehumidification processes.
Set up and monitor drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers.
Perform demolition as needed, removing affected materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation.
Assist with mold remediation, including containment, removal, and treatment of affected areas.
Document job progress using photos, moisture readings, and detailed reports.
Communicate effectively with customers, explaining the mitigation process and setting proper expectations.
Work closely with Project Managers and other team members to ensure job completion according to industry standards.
Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and tools to ensure operational readiness.
Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and adhere to company and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Prior experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation not necessary; we are willing to train the right candidate.
IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) or Applied Structural Drying (ASD) are a plus.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy equipment (50+ lbs), working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations for emergency services.
