Seeking an experienced
Systems Administrator
to support enterprise infrastructure operations, including server and network management, virtualization, security patching, and compliance support. This role involves maintaining both Windows and Linux environments, implementing best practices in system security, and ensuring reliability and performance of virtualized systems.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain servers, storage, virtualization, and network systems.
Configure, install, update, and troubleshoot software and hardware.
Manage vulnerability scanning and patch management (e.g., Nessus).
Implement and maintain least-privileged and role-based access controls.
Support virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V) and storage systems (Pure, Nexgen, vSAN).
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, and Windows/Linux infrastructure.
Perform system documentation, change control, and compliance record‑keeping.
Research and develop standardized deployment and configuration procedures.
Support IT compliance initiatives and modernization projects.
Qualifications Education & Corresponding Experience
Degree in
Computer Science, IT, Engineering , or related technical discipline preferred.
With degree:
8 years
of relevant experience required.
Without degree:
10 years
of relevant experience required.
Experience must include direct
System Administration
work in IT environments.
Combination of work experience, on-the-job, and/or vocational training accepted.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
2+ years
of experience in supporting and maintaining virtualized/converged compute environments.
Managing and troubleshooting enterprise
Windows infrastructure
using Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell.
Administering
VMware
and
Hyper‑V
virtualization.
Packaging, installing, and troubleshooting
Windows operating systems .
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience setting up and administering
cyber vulnerability scanning
systems.
Administration of IT systems in
24/7 high availability
environments.
Experience with
patch deployment, antivirus, log management, and backup tools .
Proficiency with
Nessus ,
Splunk ,
Wireshark ,
Veeam ,
Checkpoint ,
Trend Micro , or similar tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills for
LAN connectivity
and
firewall management .
Familiarity with technologies such as
IIS, App‑V, Tripwire, Puppet, Sysinternals, HP/Cisco servers , and
PowerShell scripting .
Additional Requirements
Citizenship:
U.S. Citizenship is required to meet federal client requirements.
Location:
Candidates must be able to work onsite in Vancouver, WA, as needed.
Employment Type:
