Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled Level 4 Data Center Technician to join our IT team in Mount Pleasant, WI. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep experience in data center operations, hardware deployment, and break-fix support—especially involving GPU and network rack installations. Schedule
Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Every Other Wednesday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Key Responsibilities
Perform break-fix tasks on GPUs, servers, network, and cabling. Manage tickets using ITSM tools. Deploy and configure GPUs in servers, ensuring proper installation and functionality. Land fully populated GPU/network racks: rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, hot-air containment, and overhead cable trays. Interpret BOMs to ensure material accuracy. Install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructures. Handle optical modules (SFPs, QSFPs) and clean fibers (SC, LC, MPO). Rack and stack equipment; patch fiber and copper cables. Lead and manage teams across multiple simultaneous projects. Ensure compliance with safety and data center standards. Provide documentation and daily communication using MS Office and customer tracking tools. Travel as required. Required Qualifications
10+ years of data center deployment and break-fix experience. Proven experience landing fully populated GPU/network racks. Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6, copper, fiber SM/MM/MPO). Experience with optical modules and fiber cleaning. Familiarity with DC power systems and telecom engineering designs. Strong communication and documentation skills. Experience working in a Microsoft data center environment. Preferred Skills
GPU deployment experience. Leadership in high-stress, multi-project environments. Familiarity with enterprise-level data center standards. Top Skills

Pay range: $40.00 – $40.00/hr.
