The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a credentialed Court Interpreter 1 - Journey, Court Interpreter 2 - Master (Spanish) for a statewide position. Under the Language Services Section Manager, the successful candidate will provide interpreting services statewide to all vicinages traveling with a state vehicle. Salary

Court Interpreter 1 - Journey: $74,454.81–$105,725.80 Schedule A, $74,454.81–$100,439.52 Schedule B. Court Interpreter 2 - Master: $78,922.07–$119,127.65 Schedule A, $78,922.07–$113,171.27 Schedule B. Responsibilities

Interpret in sight, consecutive, and simultaneous modes in court proceedings, high‑profile trials, quasi‑judicial hearings, and related events in person or via Video Remote Interpreting and/or telephone. Possess advanced proficiency in Video Remote interpreting and assess VRI needs and solutions. Prepare and provide interpreting training, including orientation seminars, annual trainings, and VRI webinars. Participate in study and training activities to develop and maintain interpreting, translating, and VRI skills. Produce translations of documents (draft or final) and assist in voice‑over projects as requested. Utilize automated record‑keeping systems and SharePoint to track activities and organize projects. Remote Work

This hybrid position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. Requires high‑speed home internet and installation of a multifactor authentication app. Eligibility

Eligible applicants are court interpreters approved by the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). Prior to translating documents, incumbents must pass the translation test administered by the AOC. Driver's License

A valid New Jersey driver’s license is required only if vehicle operation is necessary for essential duties. Authorization to Work

US citizenship is not required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US under DHS/USCIS regulations. Background Check
