Job Summary
Job Summary
The El Dorado County Office of Education, a recognized leader in providing high-quality alternative educational programs, is looking for a talented Mathematics/STEM teacher to join our team as a part of our charter programs on the El Dorado Center site. Our instructional format is a hybrid-independent study model with a focus on Dual Enrollment. Students come to the school site a minimum of two days per week for High School classes and take additional classes through Folsom Lake College. Through this partnership students have robust opportunities to earn college credits in pathways that include Associate's Degrees, IGETC and Career Ed Certificates. Our program is looking for a High School Mathematics teacher who can teach Mathematics through Pre-Calculus.

- Full credential, California Single Subject in Math - Additional Credentials Preferred - Effective and dynamic instructor with a willingness to embrace innovation - A teacher who wants to actively contribute to an environment that is committed to continuous improvement and high-quality service to our students and families. - A teacher who passionately embraces new ideas, change, and out-of-the-box thinking. We are not a traditional five-day-a-week program. - Someone who enjoys working collaboratively with a team and who enjoys learning as much as they enjoy teaching - The ability to communicate and work in conjunction with parents in supporting student’s academic progress - Someone who can contribute unique talents, interests, and abilities to our programs both in the classroom and in non-instructional duties. - A creative and innovative approach to designing curriculum and content - Warmth and the ability to quickly connect with students, staff and college partners and maintain a culture of learning and mutual respect - Experience with the Learning Management System Canvas - Hybrid learning or independent study experience preferred - Expertise with Universal Design for Learning or Edu Protocols is strongly preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching credential, or eligibility for appropriate credential/permit.
Experience:
Two years of recent full-time teaching experience preferred; home study/distance learning or alternative school setting experience desired.
