is hiring for a part-time TEAP Counselor (Substance Abuse) LISAC - 224466-4596. The role supports the Centers alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention program, educates and counsels students to reduce and prevent drug-related separations from the program, and develops individualized case management plans to enhance student retention and success.
The position requires maintaining confidentiality and compliance with all HIPAA laws.
Responsibilities
Develops and facilitates the Centers alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention program activities and integrates services into Centers programmatic functions.
Develops and coordinates community resources for educating students on substance use and abuse.
Administers Centers drug testing program to promote a drug-free environment.
Provides comprehensive and individualized case management to support student progress, retention and completion of the Job Corps program; establishes mentoring relationships and provides substance abuse counseling and education.
Counsels students individually and in groups on substance abuse; produces quality work in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
Maintains attendance, accountability and productivity standards; plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet goals and deadlines.
Applies job knowledge to effectively complete duties; proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties.
Mentors and models Career Success Standards; shows respect and accountability for students and their actions.
Delivers quality programs and services, pursues improvement and shares information clearly and concisely; provides timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
Identifies problems, analyzes causes, evaluates solutions and ensures follow-up to verify corrective actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited school preferred.
Minimum of one year experience in drug/alcohol counseling or related field required.
Valid, active, unrestricted in-state License or Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling/Prevention required. Regional approval required.
