Outside Sales Representative - Pumps & Automation (Montana)
Job Summary
We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to manage a designated territory and customer base, ensuring customer satisfaction, driving new business growth, and meeting sales goals. This role involves travel within the assigned territory to engage with customers, provide technical support, and deliver tailored industrial equipment solutions.
Responsibilities
Set and manage sales objectives, goals, and forecasts for the assigned region.
Conduct regular customer visits to understand their needs and drive sales within the territory.
Work closely with customer teams to specify and apply industrial products, providing product training and support.
Strengthen relationships with current customers while identifying opportunities for new business growth.
Serve as a point of contact for customer disputes, collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely resolutions.
Report on sales activities, market trends, customer feedback, and progress toward achieving goals.
Position Requirements
Strong background in pumps; exposure to valves, instrumentation, and automation highly desirable.
Experience selling into refineries, upstream oil & gas, EPCs, or industrial process markets.
Proven ability to balance technical knowledge with strong relationship-building skills.
Track record of hunting new business in addition to managing existing accounts.
Based in Billings or within commuting distance.
