CHEF, EXECUTIVE SOUS II - NO Saints - New Orleans
Flik Hospitality Group is hiring a Chef, Executive Sous II to support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, and directing meal preparation in line with corporate programs and guidelines. Responsibilities
Coordinate activities of kitchen personnel engaged in food preparation for service Ensure high quality food items are creatively prepared and presented in a cost‑effective manner Assist in planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation Support cost controls and expenditure management for the account Roll out new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams Supervise staff to ensure cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management, or related field; or A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts with additional specialized training 3–5 years of relevant culinary experience Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills Knowledge of food cost and its relation to kitchen operations, product, and quality Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Outlook; Internet) Experience with high-volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful Benefits
