$95,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Key Duties And Responsibilities
In keeping with one of Grace Church's top three priorities, the Sr. Dir. of NXT Gen Ministry will be responsible to lead the charge in making outrageous efforts to reach and disciple those 0 to 18 by effectively leading our Grace Kids, NXT Students, Special Needs and Parenting Ministries. Key responsibilities include: Maintain and establish a clear vision and strategy for all Grace Kids, NXT Students, Special Needs and Parenting Ministry programs (nursery – 12th grade) through effective leadership and oversight of the Directors of these departments. Lead the 0-18 staff by cultivating a healthy team culture, fostering & preserving unity, and ensuring alignment with Grace Church as a whole. Develop a “next man/woman up” staff development philosophy, in order to maintain stability and growth as staff changes occur. Grow the 0-18 ministries spiritually and numerically. Success will be measured by each ministries ability to reach and guide the spiritual transformation of the next generation of students with the Gospel. Lead and oversee the effort to ensure that all 0-18 teams have effectively and sufficiently recruited, screened and trained the needed number of volunteers/leaders to maximize all ministry environments (small groups, big room, fun activities, camps, worship, etc.), while creating an environment for consistent coaching and ongoing development of all volunteers. Oversee all curriculum/content/teaching for all ministry environments (nursery-12th grade), including content delivery of guest speakers. Ensure that all 0-18 safety policy practices are implemented and carried out. Update policies and practices as needed in partnership with HR & the Executive Pastor. Together with the Sr Dir of 0-18 & Adult Min, design and build a “parent equipping, support and encouragement” ministry (name pending) to provide a simple pathway to support and equip parents as they raise their children according to God’s Word. (Ref notes below). In partnership with MarCom, create/preserve our brand strategy for all 0-18 teams, that aligns with the overall marketing strategy for Grace Church, including social media and merch. Engage in effective partnerships with all ministries/departments. Effectively communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure unity and alignment of ministry objectives and awareness of interdependencies with other ministries. Partner and collaborate with all 0-18 ministries at our other campuses. Develop and effectively manage the annual budget for all ministries under your care in consultation with your supervisor and the Sr. Director of Finance. This responsibility also includes the timely and accurate reporting of expenses and expense management. Perform baptisms, weddings, serve as minister on call, prayer for the sick, etc. Other duties as assigned. NXT Students
Oversee and ensure that the NXT Students’ ministry continues to execute the NXT Student’s vision document and evaluates the success of ministry programming/activities in light of this document. Establish systems and processes to provide students with clear pathways for effective pastoral care (e.g. ReGen for Students, mentoring, etc.) and as appropriate, manage cross-functional support with other ministries (e.g. ReGen team, Care Team, etc.). Oversee and ensure the continued execution of a strategy for effective student-lead worship teams that will serve the worship needs all 0-18 ministries, while creating a pipeline of students from elementary through High School. Grace Kids
Oversee and ensure that the Grace Kids’ ministry continues to execute the Grace Kids’ vision document and evaluates the success of ministry programming/activities in light of this document. Take the Kids’ Ministry programming (Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday) from a weekly average of B- in terms of student engagement, the fun-factor and quality teaching/small groups, to an A average, based on the vision document. Parenting Ministry
Design and implement a parenting support ministry (name pending) that provides a Biblical pathway that resources parents as the raise their children and prepare them for adulthood. Deliver effective programming/classes/seminars/online resources for parents as they navigate the different seasons/phases of parenting – Caregiver (~0-4 years), Cop (5-12 years), Coach (13-17 years), Consultant (18+) in partnership with all Grace ministries serving parents. Special Needs
Transition the Special Needs ministry from the Adult Team (Men’s, Women’s, Marriage) to the 0-18 team (Kids, Students, Parenting). Continue to implement Sunday programming with excellence and implement a simplified summer programming opportunity beginning June of 2026. Build and execute a “buddy” ministry that resources special needs or high need students that are mainstreamed in our Kids’ Ministry. Continue to better leverage our respite nights as an outreach into our communities and a pathway to connect families to our Sunday programming. Professional And Spiritual Expectations
Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field preferred. Experience required: 4+ year’s ministry experience. License/Ordination: Ability to become licensed or ordained by Grace Church. Successful history of connecting with, teaching and discipling kids, students and parents. Demonstrate a personal passion to minister to people within the context of the local church. Ability to teach and instruct based on thorough knowledge of the Word of God. Demonstrate exceptional skills as a teacher and communicator with adults and students who are capable of addressing issues related to students and the family including complex, interpersonal relationships, and family dynamics. Demonstrate a strong desire to minister to students within the context of the local church. Proven ability to effectively cast vision and shepherd a ministry team. Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20). Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
