while supporting operations in
Whippany, NJ .
Reporting to the
Sr. Manager of Business Process Improvement , you’ll architect and implement site-wide lean manufacturing systems that deliver linkage, flow, and flawless execution—meeting customer demand at the lowest cost with perfect quality.
Responsibilities
Lean Cell Development : Provide high-level input into the design and implementation of lean manufacturing cells across both sites.
Advanced Lean Mastery : Apply expert-level knowledge in JIT, takt, flow, pull systems, standard work, jidoka, DMAIC, A3, TPM, heijunka, kanban, kaizen, pacemaker, pitch, replenishment systems, SWIP, supermarkets, and more.
Mixed-Model Cell Design : Engineer high-efficiency cells using SWCS, % load balancing, and cell standard work.
Cross-Functional Leadership : Lead and coach teams across departments to improve business processes and manage daily performance using visual controls.
Gemba & Kaizen Excellence : Mentor through Gemba walks and lead standard work; facilitate kaizen events to eliminate waste and solve critical production challenges.
Problem-Solving Culture : Train employees to identify abnormal conditions and apply structured problem-solving techniques.
Travel Requirement:
Up to 40% between Woburn, MA and Whippany, NJ
Qualifications Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field and a minimum of 8 years of experience to include at least 5 years of Lean leadership.
Or, a Master's Degree in business or technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience to include 3 years of Lean leadership.
Or, a high school diploma or GED and 10 years of relevant experience to include 5 years of Lean leadership.
This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 11+ years of experience including 8+ years of Lean leadership.
Or, Master's Degree and 8+ years with 5+ years of Lean leadership.
Lean master, lean practitioner, or Master Black Belt Certification.
Automotive or electronics industry manufacturing experience.
Toyota Production System (TPS) familiarity.
Computer skills: high-level of spreadsheet utilization; experience with Windows environment; Microsoft Office Suite; ability to utilize Power BI; familiarity with Oracle.
Salary Range : Lean Master: $103,218.83 - $154,828.24 (Woburn MA) annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including location, job function, education, and experience.
