The Mortgage Closing Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing the efforts of the loan closing team to ensure loans are closed according to the established policies and procedures. This position will hire, train, and lead the Mortgage Loan Closing and Title Specialist teams, including evaluating files for accuracy, completion and compliance with all state and federal regulations and policies as well as secondary market and in-house product and program guidelines. Additional responsibilities include analyzing relevant title issues and coaching the team with resolution options. As a key member of the leadership team, the Mortgage Closing Manager will act as an expert in all matters pertaining to closing operations and will collaborate with Management to promote a positive employee and customer experience by examining and implementing new closing processes/procedures as required to ensure professional and timely transactions. The role requires organization, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The position involves working closely and directly with lenders, borrowers, realtors, attorneys, third-party vendors, and operational staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality customer service. The Mortgage Closing Manager is expected to contribute to department projects as part of the bank team. Responsibilities

Supervisory Duties and Departmental Management: carry out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws; select, train, motivate, and develop a diverse closing and title team; develop and clearly communicate performance guidelines; review performance and provide feedback; recognize achievements and discipline as needed; continually help team members maximize their talents; ensure ongoing training to improve performance. Manage multiple pipelines to ensure loans are originated within the desired timeframe; manage Closing and Mortgage Title Specialists pipelines; reassign files to balance workload; communicate with lenders to adjust closing dates as necessary. Monitor pipeline to ensure timely delivery of preliminary Closing Disclosure and Change in Circumstance documents per regulatory guidelines and timing requirements; ensure team meets assigned closing dates per loan program guidelines. Coordinate with operations and other departments; ensure accurate distribution of files among Mortgage Closers and Title Specialists; analyze title commitments, surveys, zoning conditions, and related documentation; provide technical guidance on loan programs and underwriting guidelines; promote outstanding customer service and timely processing. Support department initiatives by disseminating updates, coordinating with management on operational issues, and recommending process improvements and system enhancements. Loan Administration And Support

Understand regulatory guidelines (e.g., HOEPA, HMDA, RESPA, TRID) to ensure proper disclosures and timely document issuance to avoid delays and expenses. Assist and provide back-up support to Mortgage Closers and Mortgage Title Specialists; handle complex transactions with experience and knowledge; prepare closing documents for employee files; own and ensure accuracy and professionalism in closing documents; obtain proper documentation; guide realtors, attorneys, and lenders on compliance and documentation requirements. Provide resolutions for escalated service issues and loan deficiencies by coordinating with appropriate departments; participate in department meetings and projects to improve operations and customer experience; maintain strong lender/borrower/vendor relationships. Communicate known issues (title, logistics, closing conditions) with lending staff as needed. Ongoing Education/Other Duties

Possess in-depth knowledge of Encompass and Integrated Document Solutions as they relate to the closing function. Maintain knowledge of current mortgage program guidelines (conforming, jumbo, first-time buyer, low-income, niche programs) and their impact on loan analysis. Attend job-related seminars, conferences, and workshops to increase knowledge and proficiency; perform other duties as assigned. Quality Control

Assist with resolving secondary market suspensions by following up on missing documentation; support audits and investor requests; respond to quality deficiencies identified through audits and investor feedback. Education And Special Requirements

Associate\'s degree (A.A.) or equivalent; 3 to 5 years of experience in mortgage loan closing with experience on 1 to 4 family residential loans sold on the Secondary Market; supervisory experience in loan closing preferred; technical training in loan documentation and compliance preferred; extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Encompass, loan software systems, and reviewing/clearing title work.
