The Opportunity Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Abbott’s leading brands include Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, and Glucerna®. The South Florida location has an opportunity for a Pediatric Sales Specialist. This role is responsible for the promotion, management, and growth of Abbott Nutritional products in hospital, acute care settings and health care provider offices.
Responsibilities
Developing and supporting territory sales goals in both offices and hospital systems covering the Abbott Infant and Pediatric Nutrition portfolio.
Hospital negotiations and contracting, experience working with hospital supply chains.
Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines, and the ability to convey this information in a selling environment.
New product launches.
Understand the hierarchy of offices and hospital departments (e.g., NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units) and work effectively with Physicians, Dietitians, Nurses and supply chain.
Effective administrative skills and time management.
Budget management.
Ability to function independently with initiative and autonomy.
Self-motivation and drive to achieve short- and long-term goals.
Territory
Territory covers the South Florida district including Tampa, Ft. Myers, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and West Palm.
Travel: 30% overnights required.
Ideal candidate should live in Miami, West Palm or Ft. Lauderdale surrounding suburbs.
Relocation is not available; local candidates only.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of three years sales experience with Health Care Professionals preferred.
RD or RN with sales experience and technical knowledge preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs to assist with stocking and movement of pediatric products.
Preferred:
Registered Dietitians, NICU, Labor & Delivery Nurses, and Registered Nurses are strongly encouraged to apply.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the posted range.
