Base pay range $23.50/yr - $34.00/yr

Overview The Test Technician is responsible for subjecting mission critical hardware to extreme conditions to simulate the real-world environment. Test Technicians perform many testing functions and activities found in the test lab. Common tests vary from component level pressure testing to full system functional tests. Some overlap may include supporting Environmental Testing, including Thermal, Shock and Vibration. The Test Technician will often work independently with minimal supervision. Reports to Test Engineering Manager.

What You Will Do

Working with engineers and senior technicians to assist in test setup and execution

Able to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and procedures

Strong understanding of Safety around heavy industrial equipment

Assists in test planning and execution: test design and analysis; writing procedures, test plans, and data collection

Performs set-up and tear-down of fixturing, equipment, and instrumentation according to engineering procedures

Knowledge of testing based military and commercial specifications

Performs lab maintenance and improvements as required

Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal relationship skills

Works independently with limited supervision

What We Are Looking For

Required Education: HS diploma or GED

Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree or higher

Typically possesses: 1-2 years’ experience in aerospace, defense experience, or manufacturing environments

Demonstrated ability to work in a test environment based on previous work experience

Ability & Willingness to obtain Washington State explosives license and work with energetic devices

Proficient with computers and familiar with common office applications

Familiarity with crane operation and lifting equipment desired

Physical requirements of this position include the use of stairs, standing for extended periods of time and occasional heavy lifting of 50+ lbs.
