What you will be doing Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Osteoimmunology A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Park-Min at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, USA. Our lab focuses on identifying the pathways that control the formation and activation of osteoclasts, the cells that break down bone, with the goal of preventing bone destruction in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and osteonecrosis. Ongoing studies include identifying novel players and regulatory mechanisms of osteoclastogenesis and characterizing osteoclast-specific signatures in metabolic bone diseases. We apply cutting-edge cellular and molecular techniques, including next-generation sequencing, and utilize various mouse models. Please see the detailed projects on our lab website. Lab website: https://www.hss.edu/profiles/research/kyung-hyun-park-min Publication list: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/myncbi/kyung-hyun.parkmin Qualified candidate must have a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. in immunology, epigenetics, metabolism, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, bone biology or a related field, and have a record of peer-reviewed publications. Strong expertise in molecular biology techniques, biochemical and cell signaling techniques, and manipulating genetic mutant mice is preferred. High level of motivation and independence and the ability to think critically are expected. Ideal candidates must have good written and oral communication skills in English. PhD candidates who are expected to graduate soon are also encouraged to apply. Research, Analyst, and Information Technology Industries Hospitals and Health Care Salary information: The base pay scale for this position is $71,564.06 - $78,010.40. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The final salary will be determined based on factors including scope of role, experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and Fair Market Value evaluation.
