Reporting to the Director, EHS, this role will establish and maintain health and safety standards for the plant workforce by monitoring conditions, ensuring compliance with policies and standards, and maintaining the Health, Industrial Hygiene, and Safety Programs across facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and manage occupational health, safety, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene programs, including health services and policy maintenance. Train supervision and personnel in good housekeeping, safe work practices, PPE, etc. Use specialized testing equipment to sample and evaluate employee exposures to chemicals, heat, noise, etc. Administer audiometric testing and hearing conservation programs. Assist in medical surveillance and biological monitoring per OSHA standards. Manage PPE, work clothing, and safety equipment programs within budget. Oversee respiratory protection, including fit testing and respirator management. Support workers' compensation processes and incident investigations. Implement programs to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses. Coordinate safety training and education programs. Participate actively in the plant safety committee. Stay informed on relevant regulations and maintain necessary records securely. Maintain OSHA logs, prepare reports, and assist inspectors. Manage hazard communication, SDS, chemical inventories, and related training. Review operational safety, develop risk assessments, and investigate incidents. Develop audit programs to ensure compliance with safety standards. Analyze safety data, prepare reports, and support management decision-making. Support positive employee relations through leadership. Maintain professional development and credentials. Travel as needed for training, audits, and development. Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of best practices in safety and industrial hygiene. Experience with air sampling, biological monitoring, and hazard communication. Experience with OSHA regulations. Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. At least four years in a manufacturing safety role. Preferred Experience

Experience in heavy industrial environments is highly preferred. Additional Valued Skills
