Overview
The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach is responsible for all phases of developing and maintaining a successful Men's Basketball Program at the College through their support of the Head Basketball Coach. This is a part-time seasonal position. This position coaches the Cumberland Campus Dukes.
Responsibilities
Recruitment of potential student-athletes
Practice preparation
In and out-of-season training
Game/match day management
Retention of quality student-athletes
Ensures the success and safety of student athletes on and off the field
Monitors team members\' academic progress and performance, and makes referrals to the appropriate College departments to enhance student\'s academic success
Assists with all facets of athlete eligibility certification
Responsible for the safe transportation of team members to and from away contests
Adheres to all NJCAA, Region 19, RCSJ and Athletic Department rules and regulations
Responsible for fundraising and development of alumni and community relations
Possesses the ability to be a team player within the Athletics Department and the College
Performs duties of the Head Coach in his/her absence
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Past playing and/or coaching experience in the sport of basketball is required
Associate\'s degree required
Valid driver\'s license, which is currently in good standing

Medium work- exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 30 pounds frequently
Visual acuity requirements of the position:
The worker is required to have close visual acuity
Workplace conditions of the position:
The worker is subjected to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside; the worker is subjected to sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout above ambient noise level.
