Senior Food and Beverage Manager - InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown
We are seeking a Senior Food & Beverage Manager to lead and manage food and beverage operations, ensuring quality service and standards while delivering a guest experience that is unique.
What You Will Do / Day to Day
Manage food and beverage operations to ensure quality service and standards and deliver a guest experience that reflects the InterContinental brand.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
Identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue and drive promotions that offer great dining experiences at good value.
Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled securely.
Oversee day-to-day staffing, plan and assign work, set performance and development goals for team members, and provide mentoring and feedback to improve performance.
Educate and train team members on laws, safety regulations, quality and service standards; ensure staff have the necessary tools and authority to perform duties.
Maintain proper operation and cleaning of food and beverage equipment; ensure facilities are stocked and cleaned according to anticipated business volume; notify Engineering of maintenance needs.
Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals; respond promptly to guest questions, complaints, and requests.
Support local food and beverage marketing programs and monitor local competitors and industry trends.
Conduct proper inventory procedures and assist in determining stock levels for all F&B items and equipment.
Ensure security and proper storage of F&B products and minimize waste through timely replenishment.
May also serve as the manager on duty and perform other duties as assigned.
What We Need From You
Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management plus 2 years related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
Must speak fluent English.
Ability to perform duties such as moving about the facilities, lifting up to 50 pounds, handling food and equipment, and bending/kneeling as required.
Skills & Other Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with guests, employees, and third parties in a professional manner.
Reading, writing, basic math, budgeting, and P&L concepts; problem solving and organizational abilities.
Alcohol awareness certification and/or local health/food handler as required by local or state agencies.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
What We Offer The salary range for this role is $92,000 to $95,000 annually. This range applies to the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown in Los Angeles, California. The stated range reflects our good faith belief at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Pay within the range will be based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and business needs.
