Resident Director

at Georgia Southern University. The Resident Director manages day-to-day operations of a residence hall to create an effective living-learning environment for students, coordinates aspects of a residential learning program, and establishes an environment conducive to academic success and personal growth. The Resident Director is a 12-month, live-in position with a compensation package including a furnished apartment and meal plan. A detailed job description can be found at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wrh9dfe3tfHCeBoOF077OmnP8J3p0a85/view Responsibilities: Support student success and personal development Monitor and coordinate room change and occupancy processes Coordinate the process for opening and closing of the residence hall Manage the building's budget for programming and student leadership activities Work on a rotating on-call duty schedule and respond to situations as needed Train, supervise, and evaluate undergraduate student staff and graduate assistants Develop duty schedules and maintain payroll records Attend and conduct staff meetings Maintain a high level of contact with students Assist with training workshops and in-service programs Investigate and report incidents Serve on or provide leadership for Residence Education or University Housing committees Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in higher education, counseling, student services, or a related field One or more years of related work experience in higher education student affairs Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory experience Work experience in a residence hall environment Proposed Salary:
