Position:
EH&S Safety Supervisor (Chinese/English – Bilingual) Compensation:
$70,000 – $90,000 annually (DOE) About the Company: A confidential renewable energy manufacturer is launching large-scale operations in Mesa, AZ, focused on advancing clean solar technologies and sustainable production. The company’s mission is to deliver high-quality photovoltaic (PV) solutions through innovation, safety, and environmental responsibility. Position Details
The EH&S Safety Supervisor will lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the organization’s manufacturing operations. This highly visible role will be critical in developing a strong “Safety Always” culture and ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety regulations. The position will begin as an individual contributor role, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership position overseeing a team of EH&S professionals as operations expand. Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of EH&S programs to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of safety performance. Provide technical guidance in chemical safety, process safety, ergonomics, hazardous waste management, and environmental permitting. Partner with process development and manufacturing teams to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks associated with new and existing equipment and processes. Develop, maintain, and deliver comprehensive training and emergency response programs. Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and third-party safety resources as needed. Participate in design reviews and safety assessments for new technologies, equipment, and facility modifications. Support a 24/7 operational environment and maintain an active role in emergency response team (ERT) readiness. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 6 years of EH&S leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment—semiconductor, solar, or chemical industry experience preferred. Professional certification (CSP, CIH, or CHMM) required. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations. Demonstrated success leading EH&S initiatives and influencing cross-functional teams. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese. Ability to travel occasionally (domestic and international). Employment type
