Job Description
The Loss Prevention Officer ensures the safety and tranquil stay of hotel guests and employees, to enforce the policies and procedures of the hotel and to record in writing any assigned task. Prepare incident and accident reports accurately and in the format specified by the Director of Loss Prevention.
Responsibilities Performs security rounds of the hotel, including front of house and back of house areas.
Protects the hotel from admission of undesirables and others not conducting legitimate business within the premises.
Familiar with all emergency situations, including fire alarms, according to procedure and with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Responds immediately to emergency incidents and security requests to which he or she is assigned.
Able to keep accurate records and communicate using radio equipment.
Is courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures.
Records and reports any unsafe conditions while patrolling hotel property.
Ensures protection and preservation of hotel, guest, and employee property.
Maintains professional attitude and appearance.
Qualifications Previous security experience within hotels preferred.
Stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone, radio and reporting.
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
