The Lowboy Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating lowboy tractor trailers to transport heavy construction equipment, including skids, loaders, rollers, and pavers. The role also involves driving multi-axle highway equipment with a GVWR exceeding 26,001 pounds, transporting construction materials. Ideal candidates will have experience with construction equipment movement and a solid understanding of DOT regulations and permits. Key Responsibilities

Transport materials and equipment to designated locations. Secure loads using blocks, tie ropes, and other devices. Load and unload trucks efficiently. Maintain and inspect truck equipment and supplies for roadworthiness. Report repairs needed to supervisors. Perform minor roadside repairs when necessary. Ensure all safety, mechanical, and emergency equipment is operational. Verify loads for type and weight. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain cleanliness and good condition of trucks. Perform minor maintenance to ensure safety and operation. Essential Functions

Requires coordination skills to operate truck controls, sharp vision to monitor surroundings, and physical ability to climb, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds. The role involves sitting or driving for about 70% of a 10-12 hour shift, with standing or walking the rest. Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience operating lowboy tractor trailers with heavy construction equipment. Valid Class A CDL license. Clean driving record and strong safety history. Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, motor vehicle record review, and DOT physical. Benefits
