About the Department of Computer Sciences The Department of Computer Science is dynamic and innovative, with 12 full-time tenure-track/tenured and lecturing professors. The Department of Computer Sciences at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. We seek dynamic educators with a passion for computer science and a commitment to inclusive, experiential learning. Responsibilities

Deliver engaging undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science Incorporate experiential learning opportunities into course design Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages diversity of thought and experience An affiliate faculty member may teach assigned classes in person or online, prepare course materials and lesson plans, grade student work, provide timely feedback, address student questions, and provide academic support as needed; ensure instruction aligns with the course syllabus and department policies; comply with university evaluation policies; adapt to new modes of instruction; and be sensitive to diverse student educational needs. Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Computer Science or related fields Terms of Employment

Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. They are not eligible for University benefit coverage. All assignments depend on budget and enrollment. Qualified candidates are expected to teach in person on campus upon hire.
