$70,000.00 USD - $85,000.00 USD annually Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Senior Food Regulatory Technician
to support our R&D and Technical Services teams. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of food products, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting production and packaging processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food labeling regulations and ingredient functionality, and will work cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Technical Services Maintain accurate and complete product files to support regulatory compliance and technical claims. Apply USDA/FDA regulations and food science principles to ensure product and label compliance. Provide regulatory guidance for new and existing products, identifying and resolving potential compliance issues. Prepare and manage regulatory documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely and accurate information exchange. Monitor and verify preprinted packaging for regulatory accuracy. Enter and update product specifications in internal databases. Facilitate shelf-life and nutritional testing as needed. Maintain supplier documentation for packaging compliance across various food types and storage conditions. Visit supplier or customer facilities as required. Production Support Assist production teams with packaging-related issues requiring R&D input. Oversee production runs at co-packers or supplier facilities when necessary. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (e.g., Food Science, Food Engineering, Packaging Science) preferred; equivalent work experience accepted. Strong understanding of federal food labeling regulations (USDA, FDA). Familiarity with food ingredient functionality and nutritional composition. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and regulatory databases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in technical English. Foreign language skills (e.g., Spanish, French) are a plus. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
