Lewis Marine Supply Job Description – Counter Sales Job Type: Full-time Company Overview: Lewis Marine Supply is a fast-growing, high-volume 60+ year established Marine Distributor and Retailer located in sunny South Florida, with locations throughout the Southeastern US. Position Overview: As a Counter Sales Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for customers visiting our location. You will assist customers in finding and purchasing products, provide product information and recommendations, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Your role is essential in driving sales and building long-term customer relationships. MUST have experience in the marine industry. Product knowledge of marine coatings is a plus. Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide assistance in locating products, answering questions, and offering recommendations based on their needs. Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the pointofsale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods while adhering to company policies and procedures. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the products sold in the store, including features, specifications, pricing, and applications. Stay informed about new arrivals, promotions, and special offers. Upselling and CrossSelling: Identify opportunities to upsell or crosssell complementary products to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction. Offer additional products or accessories that meet the customer's needs. Order Fulfillment: Assist customers with placing special orders or requests for products that are not available instore. Coordinate with other departments or suppliers to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner. Product knowledge in paint is a huge plus. Candidate must be able to differentiate between bottom paint and topcoat paint. Qualifications:
Proven experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or customer service roles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decisionmakers. Resultsoriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and delivering quality customer service. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing sales pipelines and documentation. Benefits:
