Corrections Records Officer I (CRCC)
The annual salary for this position includes an additional $0.75 per hour maximum‑security stipend ($1,560 annually) for full‑time positions domiciled in a maximum‑security institution.

Responsibilities
Assist a Corrections Records Officer III in maintaining offender records including fingerprints/photographs/case histories/sentence and judgment papers/legal forms/releases
Compute discharge dates including conditional releases and time credit dates
Receive and process sentence and judgment papers; review and verify court documents for correct charge/sentence length/program eligibility/jail time credit; assist in maintaining computerized offender records; review records; edit information; provide detained reports to appropriate personnel for corrections/modifications to the system
Interview offenders and respond to routine correspondence explaining time calculations and detainers
Prepare and furnish: certified copies of sentence and judgment papers; offender records; other identification materials to law enforcement agencies, prosecuting attorneys, courts, and other officials involved in the case; reports including offender movement/releases/escapes/violations; escape warrants and documents for extradition/facility transfers/releases
Supervise and train staff engaged in routine record keeping tasks
Assemble and process records for offender movement into and out of the facility; arrange for proper disposition of offender’s personal effects
Respond to routine inquiries from court officials, attorneys, judges, law enforcement agencies, and offender’s families relating to offender records, while maintaining confidentiality and security of offender records
Receive general administrative direction; work is reviewed for compliance with facility and departmental policies and procedures, and with Missouri Statutes; perform other related work as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
One or more years of experience in corrections, office support, or other experience relevant/similar to the above listed responsibilities
High school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university can be substituted for the required experience at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year
Compensation and Incentives
$2.00 per hour shift differential for assignments beginning between 12:00 pm and 5:00 am at a 24/7 congregate care facility
$1.00 per hour restrictive‑housing stipend for assignments in a regular post within a restrictive housing/segregation unit
Guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years
