Position Summary
Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties to associates, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and guiding member service approaches to resolve member complaints. Supports compliance with company policies and procedures and participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
What you'll do
Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs and benefits to current and prospective members.
Process memberships, upgrades and credit accounts; encourage membership renewals.
Participate in sales and marketing events and complete required documentation.
Strive to meet membership goals and promote the value of Sam's Club products and services.
Provide and ensure member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assist with purchasing decisions and merchandise location guidance.
Support members with self-service technology, transactions at registers or self-checkout, and club pick-up orders.
Oversee area operations by handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring availability of carts and equipment.
Follow accounting office procedures, process daily deposits, and assist with cash handling and confidentiality of financial information.
Collaborate with managers and colleagues to develop processes meeting business needs and address improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics guidelines; support Open Door Policy and assist management with addressing issues.
Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and modeling adaptability to change.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register) and 6 months customer service experience.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
Leading a front-end team; supervising experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and workload management of others.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage at the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances.
