About the role
The Accounting Specialist (AR) is responsible for accounts receivable for Breville South Korea.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintain accurate records of all incoming payments
Prepare and issue tax invoices through customer portals or EDI
Collaborate with the sales team on sales inquiries
Reconcile irregularities in receipts
Work with accounts payable and other accounting staff to ensure financial accuracy
Reconcile bank and card receipts regularly for accuracy
Generate and deliver reports to relevant departments
Investigate and resolve irregularities in payments
Support inventory issues to verify cost of sales impact
Ensure accurate revenue and COGS recognition
Reconcile sales data between ERP, retail POS, and PG vendors
Monitor retail sales commissions
Audit
Prepare audit requirements related to AR
Ensure local books align with KGAAP
Support group, external, and internal audits
Financial Reporting
Reconcile intercompany AR balances
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation reports
Maintain monthly AR aging reports
Update forecasts regularly for management
Compare actual sales to budget monthly
Tax
File quarterly VAT returns
Reconcile VAT with the National Tax Service portal monthly
Support corporate and local income tax filings
Others
Raise tickets to Global IT for system or human errors
Engage proactively with Global IT for reconciliation or troubleshooting
Support internal controls and risk management, including annual self-compliance questionnaires

Qualifications and experience
Motivated individual capable of balancing hands-on tasks with strategic thinking, especially in retail
Excellent presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
At least 5 years of finance and accounting experience in a global company
At least 2 years of AR and credit management experience preferred
Advanced English proficiency required
