Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Perform daily accounting tasks, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and analyzing financial data for accuracy and completeness. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions for multiple locations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to support management decision-making. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, collaborating with department managers to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Support external auditors during annual audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws applicable to the healthcare industry. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of efficient accounting procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and administration, to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects, as assigned by management. Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., MS Dynamics Great Plains, SAP, NetSuite). Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or discrepancies. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
