Overview

Role Overview: This position will report directly to the Controller and focus on both property-level accounting and operational support for the organization’s real estate activities. The individual will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and administrative processes to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities

Contract & Financial Oversight: Monitor and follow up on agreements once executed, ensuring all property statements are accurately prepared each month. Review results, perform cash flow analysis, and maintain proper internal controls in alignment with regulatory requirements. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor invoices and tenant billings, ensure recurring charges are processed promptly, and prepare weekly reporting on commitments. Track collections and outstanding balances, and coordinate with third-party service providers on payments, taxes, licenses, and utility matters. Entity & Compliance Support: Oversee vendors assisting with setting up new legal entities and maintaining corporate documentation, including annual filings and recordkeeping. Lease & Rent Administration: Support rent collection, reconciliation of operating expenses (CAM), and review of tax-related reporting. Vendor Relations: Ensure vendor information (W-9, insurance certificates, payment confirmations) is accurate and up to date. Assist with year-end reporting requirements such as 1099 preparation. Audit Preparation: Compile schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for both internal and external audits. Qualifications

Prior experience in real estate accounting or a related financial role. Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or a similar discipline. 2+ years of experience applying GAAP principles within a property or portfolio setting. Hands-on experience with Yardi or comparable property management/accounting software is required. Strong Excel abilities and comfort with financial analysis. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively under deadlines. Commercial property and lease administration knowledge considered beneficial.
