Develop and enhance financial models capturing operational and financial metrics to drive long-term business improvement across the renewables portfolio. Develop Business Intelligence tools to provide insight into business performance (focus on Power BI). Provide oversight over monthly and annual forecasting and variance analysis for executive leadership. Support executive leadership with real-time insights and reporting on fleet operational and financial performance, including strategic analysis, KPI tracking, and driver-based analytics and tools. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Business Management, IT to identify challenges, solve problems, and align on solutions that drive business improvement. Own and lead analysis for executive leadership with cross-functional collaboration, demonstrated project management, and strong communication and presentation skills; utilize advanced Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and SAP knowledge. This role supports Corporate and NextEra Power Generation processes, including O&M and capital budget preparation and reporting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating annual budgeting, monthly reforecasts, and month-end close, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Focus on continuous improvement of spending, risk management, and costing methods in line with corporate policy. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Perform cost accounting activities including variance analysis, standard cost development, activity-based costing, and inventory control. Provide financial leadership to Operations for decision-making and strategy development. Support new lines of business and identify ways to reduce overhead cost per job. Provide reporting and analysis for operations activity (productivity, capital and overhead spending, forecasting, budgeting, absorption, sales, and I&O planning). Prepare and distribute financial reports and explain results to non-financial audiences. Communicate operational performance through P&L analysis. Collaborate with colleagues across departments and lead process improvement projects using Six Sigma principles. Manage internal controls and mitigate control weaknesses. Extract, organize, analyze, and report data to support business decisions. Develop broad technical and communication skills through ongoing training. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
