Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with an emphasis in accounting.

Minimum 12 months of accounting and auditing experience at a CPA firm or closely related environment.

Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, or in the process of obtaining one.

Residency in California.

Proficiency in complex accounting, auditing, and financial reporting procedures. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Experience with audit engagement software, Excel, Word, PDF, and Teams.

Knowledge of CCH Engagement, CCH Practice Management, Bloomberg Research, Thompson Reuters Checkpoint PPC tools, and Prosystems FX is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a client‑facing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform and document audit procedures in accordance with applicable standards.

Import client data into the firm’s software to facilitate efficient analysis by the engagement team.

Analyze client financial statements, including required disclosures, to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Coordinate internal team documents and prepare internal digital project binders; coordinate external client documents and facilitate data collection using the firm’s client portal.

Work effectively within given budgetary parameters, maintaining approximately 1775 chargeable hours annually. Overtime work is required throughout the year depending on client assignments. Weekly chargeable hours between mid‑January and April are expected to be at least 55 hours per week.

Identify and recommend internal control, process, or operational improvements to clients.

Demonstrate the ability to receive constructive feedback from engagement team members and apply lessons learned.

Build relationships across other firm service offerings and seek opportunities to work together.

Embrace and model the firm’s "Operating Values" and consistently work with a positive, 'can do' attitude.
