Cost Accountant role in the Wholesale Industry. Location: NV, TX or AZ. This position focuses on inventory management and costing strategies to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
Analyze and maintain accurate costing data, ensuring financial integrity across all product lines. Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure alignment with physical counts and financial records. Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to improve inventory tracking and SKU management. Develop and implement cost control procedures to optimize profitability and reduce variances. Prepare detailed financial reports, including forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes by reconciling accounts and reviewing financial data. Utilize ERP systems to analyze and report on inventory and costing data. Must-Have Skills
Proven experience in cost accounting within the wholesale or related industry. Strong knowledge of inventory management and reconciliation processes. Proficiency in using ERP systems for accounting and inventory tracking. Have large and mid-sized company experience. Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP standards. Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience working with SKUs and warehouse operations. CPA or CMA certification. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools. Experience in a high-volume wholesale or distribution environment. Familiarity with revenue forecasting and cost optimization strategies. Seniority level
