$75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Overview We are seeking an Intermediate Architect to join a growing real estate development firm based in Queens, NY. This is a unique opportunity for architects who want to transition from traditional practice to the developer side, gaining exposure to projects from concept through construction as part of the ownership team. The role will focus on high-rise, multi-family residential projects across New York City.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with development leadership to review design proposals, consultant deliverables, and construction documents.
Provide technical expertise on NYC zoning, building codes, ADA, and accessibility standards to guide project feasibility and design compliance.
Coordinate directly with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with project goals.
Support design and documentation reviews, with an emphasis on Revit-based drawing and model management.
Assist in construction administration efforts, including reviewing RFIs, submittals, and site reports, ensuring alignment with project intent.
Contribute to internal standards, workflows, and processes to strengthen project delivery from the ownership perspective.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
4–8 years of professional experience, ideally with exposure to high-rise residential and/or mixed-use projects in NYC.
Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Strong working knowledge of NYC building codes, zoning, and accessibility requirements.
Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
Prior experience working with developers or interest in transitioning to the development side is highly valued.
