The Role As a Senior Architect (Licensed Architect) in New York you will lead the design and delivery of large‑scale projects across high‑rise residential, healthcare and cultural sectors. This is a key role within a growing office suited to an architect who combines design excellence with strong technical capability and client‑facing leadership.
Responsibilities
Lead the full design and delivery process from concept through construction
Manage client relationships, project scope, schedules and budgets
Coordinate with consultants including structural, MEP, life safety, envelope, acoustics and AV specialists
Oversee the production of drawings, specifications and BIM models
Resolve complex design and technical issues to produce buildable, code‑compliant solutions
Review RFIs and submittals and engage with city and permitting officials
Mentor and support junior architects and designers within the studio
Requirements
Licensed Architect (required) – current U.S. registration
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred)
10 years professional experience with project leadership responsibilities
Proven experience in high‑rise residential, healthcare and / or cultural projects (performing arts centres, museums or similar)
Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, materials and construction techniques
Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino or similar 3D software also beneficial)
Excellent communication and client‑management skills
LEED accreditation desirable
