Position Overview:
We’re looking for a talented assistant property manager who will be responsible for assisting the property manager in the overall operations of the property.
Responsibilities:
Assist the property manager in managing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring resident satisfaction and retention.
Maintain all accounts receivable, including collecting rent, posting rent, making bank deposits, and maintaining a balanced rent roll.
Accurately complete daily, weekly, and monthly financial and leasing reports.
Audit records to identify lease expiration dates, delinquent accounts, and unlawful detainers.
Collect delinquent balances and process evictions.
Lease apartments as needed and manage move‑ins, move‑outs, and lease renewals.
Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness, alerting maintenance of needed repairs.
Assist in training staff on leasing, marketing, maintenance, and general office operations.
Compose routine correspondence, rental notices, and other letters and memorandums.
Assist with resident relations and problem resolution.
Assume responsibility for property operations in the absence of the property manager.
Comply with all company policies, applicable health and safety rules, and local, state, and federal laws.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two to three years of experience in property management required.
Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred.
Skills and Requirements:
Basic Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Sensitivity to confidential matters.
Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Required to pass Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within first 30 days.
