Join Prysmian Group - Make Your Mark Overview: We are seeking a Credit Specialist responsible for minimizing bad debt risk and maximizing accounts receivable collections. The role involves ensuring adherence to payment terms within an assigned portfolio, reviewing A/R aging reports, and initiating collection procedures to reduce past dues. Responsibilities: Analyze credit extension requests for new and existing accounts, establishing credit lines and risk classifications based on financial analysis and other risk mitigation methods. Obtain insurance, cross-company guarantees, PMSIs, etc., as appropriate. Enter invoices into third-party systems. Research unapplied cash. Review A/R aging reports to monitor collection status and follow up on overdue accounts. Document and initiate offsets; recommend write-offs. Negotiate customer disputes and document root causes. Maintain accurate credit and collection files. Reconcile cash transactions and third-party remittances. Participate in special projects as needed. Qualifications: Required: Minimum 2 years of credit and collections experience. Knowledge of collection terms and payment conditions. Strong attention to detail. Effective customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas). Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of credit/collections experience. Knowledge of financial statement analysis. SAP and A/S 400 experience. Work Environment & Physical Demands: Standard office environment with typical equipment. Ability to sit, bend, kneel, squat, read, write, and speak fluently. Ability to lift objects of 10-25 pounds regularly, and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Typing speed of 35 words per minute.
