Tax Manager - Estates & Trusts
We are seeking a high-performing Tax Manager to specialize in estates and trusts, contributing to our growing team. Salary:
DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, LLC, trust, and bankruptcy tax returns, ensuring compliance with legislation and identifying planning opportunities. Manage monthly accounting for clients and prepare comprehensive financial statements. Analysing financial data to produce thorough reports aiding in forensic accounting, bankruptcy cases, and litigation support. Providing operational management analysis and consulting tailored to client needs, enhancing business operations and fiscal strategies. Minimum Position Qualifications: Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in public accounting, showing increasing complexity in tax tasks. Strong understanding of trust taxation theory, fiduciary accounting income, and distributable net income rules. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting. Completion of at least forty (40) hours of continuing professional education annually. Pursuit or possession of a CPA license; if licensed, must be a member in good standing with the AICPA. Familiarity with a diverse array of trust types including revocable living trusts, grantor trusts, marital trusts, bypass trusts, and charitable split-interest trusts. Preferred Qualifications: Exemplary communication skills for client interactions and presentations. Advanced expertise in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Proven analytical skills for strategic tax planning and implementation. Leadership experience in managing small to mid-sized client engagements. Up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations applicable to estate planning and trust management. Skills: High proficiency in tax preparation and review. Excellent analytical and organizational abilities. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to lead teams.
