We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to lead all accounting activities and support the company’s financial operations. This role is key in scaling the organization and aligning financial functions with broader business goals. The Controller will partner with the CFO and executive leadership, manage internal support staff, and provide actionable insights to drive performance and growth. Strategic Collaboration:

Partner with the CFO to develop tools and strategies for achieving company objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to inform leadership decisions. Spearhead development of and establish and track financial goals, KPIs, and performance metrics. Operational Accounting:

Oversee daily accounting operations including cash flow, AP/AR, payroll, and budgeting. Manage bookkeepers and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. Maintain cash flow forecasts and capital asset databases. Prepare GAAP-compliant financial reports with actionable insights and visual analytics. Streamline accounting workflows and enhance organizational efficiency. Financial Planning & Analysis:

Lead implementation of a rolling budget process across departments. Collaborate with department leaders on budget development and forecasting. Utilize and leverage QBO, AI, and other tools to support decision-making. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and special projects with the CFO. Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to tax laws and internal policies. Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks. Execute financial reviews and ensure timely filings and reporting. Stakeholder & Systems Management:

Foster relationships with banks, investors, and vendors. Advise and coordinate onboarding and training of new finance team members. Evaluate and implement financial systems to enhance scalability and performance. Collaborate with the COO to integrate financial and operational systems. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation and/or MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with proven leadership capabilities. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial systems (QBO, Microsoft 365). Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with a forward-looking, solutions-oriented approach. Able to embrace and proactively implement new technologies, including AI. Ideal Candidate Traits

Full-time, primarily remote Flexible schedule with core hours between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Occasional evening/weekend availability for special projects Occasional on-site responsibilities What Memoir Offers

Competitive salary range of $110,000 to $160,000 based on experience.
