Overview
Accounts Payable Manager - Onsite. This is a permanent, full-time position in a manufacturing company. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of multi-state tax returns, vendor payments, and payment processing. Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Salary information provided by Jobot; actual pay based on skills and experience. Recruiter confirmation is advised. Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounts payable department including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management. Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines. Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information, ensuring accuracy of financial statements. Provide accurate and effective document coordination and control to ensure that the accounts payable system works efficiently. Manage vendor relationships and build effective partnerships. Assist with internal and external audits ensuring strict compliance with established policies and procedures. Prepare and file multi-state tax returns. Analyze and resolve any discrepancies in payments and invoices. Train and mentor accounts payable staff to ensure understanding of company processes and procedures. Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within an accounts payable function. Proven experience with payment processing, AP, accounts payable, multi-state tax returns, and vendor payments. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and their implications on accounts payable. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service approach. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. Why join us?
