Location:
Kenosha, WI
Salary:
$85,000.00 USD - $100,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Our client is currently seeking an Accountant. The position involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and contributing to routine and strategic accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly close and ensure timely completion.
Support the Finance Director with daily operations, financial analysis, and year-end processes.
Serve as backup for accounts payable and receivable functions.
Manage daily cash reconciliation and bank account monitoring.
Assist with item master setup and pricing updates.
Prepare borrowing base calculations and support credit line draw requests.
Coordinate with external auditors for tax and financial reviews.
Process allocations, accruals, amortizations, and journal entries.
Support insurance renewals and administrative compliance.
Contribute to process improvements and technology upgrades.
Participate in inventory counts and reconciliations.
Perform account analysis and reconciliations (e.g., bank, fixed assets, accruals).
Generate monthly sales and COGS reports.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including 1099 filings.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ERP experience preferred.
Ability to manage large datasets and streamline processes.
Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
Adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
2+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
