Leasing Consultant Salary
$22 to $23 per hour Schedule

We’re looking for a talented leasing consultant who will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals, and interacting directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction. Responsibilities
Focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect. Ensure excellent customer service to prospective and current residents and promote a quality living experience for all. Generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork and processes. Ensure model apartments are in touring condition. Orient prospective and current residents to the property, process renewal paperwork, and deliver documentation to current residents monthly. Maintain accurate and detailed records of traffic activity. Follow up with all prospective residents via phone, mail or email. Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments with prospective residents to tour the property. Inspect apartments prior to resident move-ins and coordinate move-in/out needs with maintenance. Create and maintain confidential resident files. Complete weekly leasing reports. Complete all open and close procedures daily. Assist with ongoing resident relations throughout tenancy. Research competitive properties. Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness. Process work order requests for residents. Provide clerical support such as answering phone calls, filing, and processing property invoices. Assist with planning and implementing resident activities to increase resident retention. Comply with company policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience
High school diploma required. Minimum of one year of previous sales experience preferred. One year of previous residential leasing experience preferred. Skills and Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred. Basic Microsoft Office skills. Exceptional interpersonal communication with all levels of management. Sensitivity to confidential matters required. Independent work and strong prioritization in a fast‑paced environment. Clear written and verbal English. General office equipment proficiency. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to defuse difficult situations. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required. Compliance with all safety requirements. Mandatory completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days. Core Beliefs
