Accounts Payable & Receivable Analyst- Trades

About The Job JPI has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Analyst to join our Trades Finance team in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of the accounts payable and receivable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining vendor records, handling payment inquiries, and managing customer invoices and collections. The role supports the financial health of the organization by ensuring timely and accurate payments and receipts.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities Accounts Payable
Support accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, including receipting, invoice entry, reversals, 3-way purchase order matching, proper coding, and approval routing.
Monitor purchase orders and inventory receipts for policy compliance; troubleshoot discrepancies.
Investigate matching exceptions between receipts and invoices, particularly for inventory, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with weekly follow-up.
Complete credit applications and new vendor set-ups and follow up on holdups.
Oversee the Master Invoice Tracker for completeness and accuracy and contribute ideas to improve the file.
Prepare check payments twice weekly and serve as point of contact for payment inquiries.
Oversee AP email inbox and AP tasks.
Generate and distribute weekly open AP reports and review with Accounting for approval.
Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger.
Continuously evaluate AP systems and processes to identify improvements, automation, and internal controls.
Accounts Receivable
Maintain and distribute intercompany billbacks and customer invoices as needed; follow up on aging AR items.
Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies.
General Accounting & Reporting
Perform reconciliations for assigned vendors or projects and support Purchase Orders, Receipts, and invoicing tie-outs.
Maintain Master schedules to facilitate month-end accruals.
Prepare invoices as needed for ad-hoc purposes.
Non-Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Education, Work Experience, and Physical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Experience in real estate, construction, project management, or inventory management within supply chain is preferred.
Proficiency in construction accounting software such as Sage Intacct, Workday, Procore.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Airtable, Outlook, and Word.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with vendors, customers, and colleagues.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to accounts payable and receivable.
