Funding Manager role at AmeriHome Mortgage Company, LLC — Irvine, CA. What You’ll Do
As the Funding Manager you’ll lead, supervise and manage the daily pipeline of loan assigned to the team. You’ll provide guidance to staff to assist with expectations, pipeline reviews, and communicate frequently with Loan Processing and Underwriting departments as well as with the Sales team. Ensure quality and compliance of docs and funding associates with company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of company and regulatory changes that affect the funding process. Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of mortgage, closing and funding guidelines. Assist in development and implementation of formal and informal training programs. Develop and maintain clear guidelines of department workflow. Excellent knowledge of the mortgage closing process and TRID requirement. Review all wires for dual approval process. Manage various pipelines with special attention to lock expiration, CDs/COCs due, PCCDs due, Escrow disbursement. Communicate to treasury regarding funding numbers and federal reference numbers. Maintain feedback for monthly title calls. Prioritize rush transactions, monitor lock expirations, review rejected tax payments and handle remediation of all compliance findings. Take ownership in resolving loan level issues with the team. Ensure the team is communicating and following up, keeping all stakeholders up to date. Assist departmental staff when necessary. Lead and develop a team: responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development. What You’ll Need
10+ years of related experience in Retail Residential Mortgage Closing/Funding or similar field. High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Previous leadership experience required. Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending; including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services. Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices. Advanced Conventional and Government loan experience required including streamlined processes and IRRRLs. Advanced experience with Encompass. Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
