Lead, supervise and manage the daily pipeline of loans assigned to the team; provide guidance to staff to manage expectations, conduct pipeline reviews, and communicate with Loan Processing, Underwriting, and Sales teams. Ensure quality and compliance of documents and funding associates with company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines. Maintain knowledge of company and regulatory changes affecting the funding process. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of mortgage, closing and funding guidelines. Assist in development and implementation of training programs; develop and maintain clear guidelines for department workflow; demonstrate excellent knowledge of the mortgage closing process and TRID requirements. Review wires for the dual approval process. Manage pipelines with attention to lock expirations, CDs/COCs due, PCCDs due, and escrow disbursement. Communicate with treasury regarding funding numbers. Maintain feedback for monthly title calls. Prioritize rush transactions and remediate all compliance findings. Take ownership of loan level issue resolution with the team; ensure the team communicates and follows up, keeping all stakeholders up to date; assist departmental staff when necessary. Lead and develop the team: hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development. What You'll Need
10+ years of related experience in Retail Residential Mortgage Closing/Funding or a similar field. High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Previous leadership experience required. Intermediate knowledge of the residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending, including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services. Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices. Advanced Conventional and Government loan experience required including streamline and IRRRLs. Advanced experience with Encompass. Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
